The symbol of the sun with its bright, glowing rays comes to mind when you first think about the concept of happiness.
In the intense golden rays of the sun the figure of the menina appears in a radiant emerald dress adorned by mystic crystals, with a jewel floating crown on her head.
This artwork was created with a thick layer of gesso giving the work a dense texture to the canvas, followed by the application of gold leaf sheets to the surface.
